Penn State is off to a great start on their class of 2010. So far, the Nittany Lions have 11 verbal commitments. Initial estimates are that 17 or 18
scholarships are available, so that leaves 6 or 7 more. Following is my list of remaining recruiting needs:
2 DE
1 QB
1 DB
1 LB
The remaining scholarships can be split between DT, OL, RB, TE, and/or RB.
PSU is a bit thin at DE for 2009, so 3 DEs are needed in their class of 2010. The Nittany Lions have a verbal commitment from one potential DE. In addition, PSU needs 2 QBs in their class of 2010 and have a verbal commitment from 1. Although Penn State is still recruiting some WRs, I don't think they need more in this class. They have verbal commitments from 2. PSU signed 5 or so WRs in their class of 2009. I do think the Nittany Lions need at least one DB in this class even though they signed a lot in 2009.
